July 200807/02/08: Child Care during Meeting for WorshipGuidelines: Childcare during Worship HourThank you for helping provide a safe and caring environment for our young people. 1. Please arrive at 10:20 in the main room downstairs. 2. Make sure that all children and all areas are supervised. For example, one adult could supervise preschool age children in the back toddler room, one adult could be in the main room, and one adult could supervise a group of children on the playground. 3. Please take extra care that someone knows where the small children are al all times. If you feel you need more adult help downstairs, please let a parent know. 4. Help children find indoor activities such as board games (in the back green room closet), reading or drawing and puzzles (on the green room shelf). Running, yelling, and playing ball should be done on the playground. 5. If you would like, you could also bring a game, craft, or activity for several children to do together. You could also contact the other meeting caregiver to play activities together. 6. If a child need a diaper change or help in the bathroom please ask the parent (or grandparent) to do it. 7. At 11:10 ask young people to clean up their area and gather by the clock by the bottom of the stairs. Sent a child to the top of the stairs to check if anyone is speaking during worship. If no on is speaking, the child signals to the rest of the group to come up the stairs. Category: Childcare
